Certificate in Arbitration
Overview
The program explains what arbitration is for other forms of dispute resolution. Participants will learn the basic skills required to hold a preliminary conference, issue pre-hearing orders, set a schedule for discovery, resolver disputes related to discovery, and deal with attempts to delay. The program provides the participants with the real-life application of the skills required to determine the applicable and substantive laws and eventually render the arbitration award.

The program consists of 4 courses (45 hours each level):
Course 1: Arbitration as a Process
Course 2: Role of Arbitrator
Course 3: International Arbitration
Course 4: Arbitration and Panel Formation
Objectives
- Conduct a preliminary conference
- Issue pre-hearing orders and resolve pre-hearing matters, including discovery and delays
- Conduct and preside at an arbitration hearing
- Render an arbitration awards
- Avoid prejudicial conduct
